One Month

Emma Grace hit one month old yesterday! It's hard to believe that four weeks have gone by since we had our little girl.

Even though she's still a teeny little thing, we can tell that she's been growing and developing. She is packing on a little more fat these days, and seems to have grown in length. She can even wear some of her 0-3 month clothes, and the newborn size are getting tighter and shorter.

Emma Grace had her first bath in the sink the other day, and enjoyed it much more than sponge baths. She was initially unsure about the feeling of water, but settled in like a duck after a few seconds.

She's holding her head up more and more, and starting to really focus on faces. Her favorite play time activity is laying on her back and looking up at the ceiling or looking wherever light is coming from (windows, TV, etc.). She smiles more often, and though I know many of them are gas-related, I do believe there are some real ones starting to come out.

We're not on a daily schedule yet, but I am starting to figure Emma Grace out. I've learned when she likes to sleep and that she doesn't always want to eat when she makes noise in the middle of the night. She's doing very well at night--she still wakes up for feedings, but she usually goes right back to sleep and doesn't cry during the night--yay!

Here are some pictures of our little girl and her recent activities:
