That Darling Girl

It is unbelievable how much Emma Grace has changed since she was born almost six months ago.  I can't believe we've gone from this:

to this:

in such a short amount of time!

Emma Grace has learned how to give kisses (we're using that term loosely).  If she's in a good enough mood and you give her a couple kisses, she will grab your hair or face and plant a slobbery lick right on your mouth or nose.  We're still in the doting parent phase, so we think it's sweet.

She is almost able to sit up on her own--just a little bit of wobble!  I think she should get it sometime in the coming month. It's one of her favorite vantage points.  She is not a laying down kind of girl. When I lay her in my lap, she flexes those abs and struggles to sit back up.  That girl doesn't want to miss a thing.

We have also been enjoying the walker here lately. I say we because it is a nice thing for mom as well as baby!  In the walker, she's much more willing to play by herself while I make dinner.  And she likes the fact that we are in the same room.  She is still figuring out how to make it move where she wants it, but she is definitely mobile.  Her favorite game to play is "throw things off my tray for mommy to pick up."

Can you believe our darling girl will be six months old next Saturday?  Half a year!  Such a short time, and yet it seems like a lifetime.
