My Great Aunt Mildred passed away at the end of October, and her funeral was November 1. Family came from all over to say good-bye and celebrate her life.
Emma Grace and her cousins, who were completely unaware of the somber tone of the occasion, enjoyed playing outside the funeral home.
Peak season is here, and Jacob has been going in to work very early (6:30 a.m.!). So, naturally, he is quite tired when he gets home.
Not kidding, this was taken before 9 p.m. one night. |
Emma Grace and I also did some Black Friday shopping (at a decent hour, NOT in the middle of the night). We got a few good deals, but I'm not sure it was worth the lines!
Two days before Thanksgiving, we had our 20-week (really, 19 weeks and 5 days, but who's counting...) doctor's appointment. We found out we are having another girl (yay!) and that she is looking healthy and measuring well. She was 12 oz. (a little bigger than average) and didn't stop moving the entire ultrasound.
Thanksgiving was a marathon event for our family. We had dinner with my mom's side of the family on Wednesday night. I made a ham to share, and it turned out really well! It was the best one I've ever made (out of 2, but you know...)
It looked so good I had to take a picture. |
On Thursday (actual Thanksgiving Day), we lunched with Jacob's family at 2 and my dad's side of the family at 5. Needless to say, we were STUFFED! Emma Grace didn't eat much, but she enjoyed the company...and the iPhones.

After Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas tree! I love our tree. It just makes me so happy.
We also attempted to have a Christmas card photo session with Emma Grace, but she was less than cooperative. We laughed a lot, though, and did manage to get a few cute pictures.
Emma Grace was not enthused. |
Bribery. It works. |
Win win. We got a photo, she got cookies. |
