Most exciting news of the week - we got to hear Baby Tucker's heartbeat on Monday morning! I had my second appointment that day, and all we really did was listen to that sweet little noise. It sounded like a mini train. Every once in awhile there would be a little pop, and the doctor said that was the baby kicking. BT was quite active (probably because it was unpleasant being poked with the doppler microphone).
Today completes my thirteenth week. BT now has teeny little fingerprints, and his or her body is starting to grow and catch up with the big head. BT is approximately 3 inches long (another source says the size of a peach) and weighs almost an ounce. Little bones have started growing underneath BT's see-through skin. I can't wait until I can feel the little one moving!
My morning sickness has been gone for a week now, and I am hoping that it is over! Also, I'm able to sleep much more during the night - the past two nights I've only had to get up to go to the bathroom twice (which is better than five or six times, like before). So my fatigue is better, also. I'm looking forward to start showing a blossoming belly, but so far I'm just not really fitting into my pants. Flab is not as cute to show off as round baby bump.
That's all the news from the world of BT for now! Our next doctor's appointment is at the end of October, and in November we'll get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl!
