BT turns 15 weeks old today! He or she is about the size of an apple. Little taste buds are forming, and BT's eyes are sensitive to light (how do they know this stuff??) even though they aren't able to open yet.
I have been warned by various sources that the weight gain is about to begin in earnest, now that trimester 2 has begun. It doesn't seem like it should, because I still don't have much of an appetite (no more morning sickness, though!). But I guess BT will keep growing whether I eat tons or average amounts, and so will my stomach! To date, I've gained about 4 pounds--but I'm eager for that baby bump to start showing.
I must confess that I think I might be starting just the teensiest beginnings of a baby belly. I have a small but stubbornly present little pooch now that makes some of my tighter clothes strain just a bit. I wouldn't exactly call it showing yet (after all, I'm still fitting into most of my normal size clothes), but I think that I am on my way!
As for other weird symptoms, I'm really not having many. I had heartburn for a couple weeks, but lately it seems much calmer (after I buy the Tums, of course). I'm not feeling as tired, and other than getting out of breath easily, I'm able to do everything I normally do!
Jacob and I began moving furniture in the baby room today. I can't wait to get it all set up and ready for BT! We're trying to figure out how to maximize our small space, so those of you with decorating prowess--feel free to weigh in on our efforts. Once things begin to look more like a room and less like a jumble of stuff, I'll put up some pictures of our dear little nursery.
