Week 17 is upon us. Hooray for 4 months! BT is about the size of my palm right now and weighs approximately 5 ounces. His or her little cartilage is solidifying into bone, and the heartbeat is now regulated to between 140 and 150 beats per minute.
We had our 16-week check up on Monday, and doctor said baby seems to be growing just fine. We heard the little heartbeat again (slower this time), and scheduled our ultrasound appointment! On Nov. 22 we will be finding out BT's gender--YAY! He told me to drink a Coke before I come because it will make BT move around a lot more, and we'll be able to hopefully see the goods. : )
I have to share a funny dream with y'all that daddy-to-be Jacob had. Recently, he's been around 2 newborn babies (one 5 weeks and one 2 weeks), and I think that must have put babies on the brain. The other night, he dreamed that we had not one but FIVE babies and we kept them all in one crib. He said one of the babies was black, one was mixed and one was a blonde-haired girl. The babies were so small that they kept falling through the crib slats and he kept trying to put them back in, but couldn't keep up. Also, he couldn't remember any of their names. I don't know why I found this so funny. Be sure to encourage daddy-to-be so he won't have anymore anxiety-driven dreams!
I have a belly picture to share, but haven't uploaded it yet. Look for the update coming later today or tomorrow!
