29 Weeks

I think one of the neatest feelings in the world has got to be a baby moving inside of you. Even though I can't see her, I feel like I get glimpses of Emma Grace's personality from her constant wriggling.  I could watch her tumbles and kicks for hours.  My little bee is enchanting!

We went to the doctor Monday and were told that Emma Grace is right on schedule. I finally gained the correct amount of weight for a month and passed the gestational diabetes test. Whew! I really did not want to have to take the three hour version. My next appointment is on Valentine's Day - how romantic...

Emma Grace is 11 weeks (ish) from making her grand appearance.  She weighs somewhere between 2 1/2 and 3 lbs. this week and could be up to 17 inches long.  Apparently, her weight will be doubling (and maybe tripling!) over the next few weeks. Oh boy. Her little skeleton is firming up, which is probably why I've been wanting to drink milk with every meal.

She's still quite a wiggle worm. Nighttime is her most active, although I often catch my stomach bouncing around during the day. I don't know how she still has enough room to move in there, but she seems to be making it just fine. Let's hope she settles down to a more peaceful sleep schedule after birth! She doesn't wake me up at night, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't sleep much because whenever I wake up to go to the bathroom she is happily kicking away.

We're still working on fitting out our house with everything baby girl needs.  She has a painted, semi-clean room now, with a crib that is baby-ready. We have diapers and a few outfits, a changing pad and a baby tub, but we're far from having met all our essentials! It does give me some peace of mind, though, to know that if she came now she would at least have a place to sleep. As the nursery progresses and looks more "finished," I'll post more pictures.

I do have a new belly picture to show off, but you'll have to wait until it's loaded onto the computer! The belly is really starting to poke out there now, and non-maternity clothes have pretty much been folded and put away in my house. I have a few that can still snugly slip over my belly, but they get fewer and fewer every day.

That's about all from the world of Baby Tucker and family! If you would, pray for us this week - Jacob applied for 2 full-time positions at FedEx and he finds out by next week if he got one of them.  Pray that we will have peace with whatever the Lord allows to happen and that we will trust Him not only with Jacob's job but also with our entire lives.
