Add One More, Now We're Four!: 6 Weeks To Go!

We are less than 2 months away from having a baby (unless she ends up being very stubborn)! It's hard to believe that Emma Grace is going to be here soon.

This week, Emma Grace weighs approximately 5 pounds (whew) and measures approximately 20 inches long. The vernix, which protects her sweet baby skin, has gotten thicker, along with her fat layers. I like fat babies. Also, her little fingernails have grown to reach the end of her fingers by now. Sweet baby fingers. She is still a pretty active girl - in fact, her feet are tickling my tummy right now. But she doesn't kick nearly as much. Her moves are more slow and steady, and often feel like little limbs stretching out instead of big, bouncy kicks.

Interesting, random fact - I found out today that if you're dark-haired, you are less likely to get stretch marks than fair-haired people. That's good news for me! I haven't seen any appear yet, but we still have some growing to do, so I'm not considering myself out of danger yet.

Exciting news - we had our first baby shower Sunday! The wonderful people at our church were so good to us. Below are some pictures of the blessings that were showered on us.
