5 Weeks and Counting...

It's March! Even though we still have five weeks to go, this baby is going to be born next month. That sounds so close!

We had our 34-week doctor's appointment on Monday, and he said everything was looking good. Her head appears to be down (whew) and he said it doesn't look like she'll be a big baby (but then, family history says otherwise). At my next appointment, they'll start checking to see if I'm making any progress toward labor. Now there's a scary thought!

At 35 weeks, Emma Grace has pretty much stopped growing lengthwise, but not fat-wise! She'll continue to add 1/2 pound a week until delivery. Her brain is continuing to grow and develop, meaning her head is getting heavier and pressing even more on my poor bladder! My recent sprints to the bathroom several times a day (and night) attest to this fact. Other than that, she is pretty much ready to go!

We're starting to get her stuff all assorted and organized.  I will be taking some nursery pics soon, once it's more cutesy and neat. We did manage to paint her baby dresser and get knobs for the drawers, so that's a big step in the right direction. Other than that, we still need to get her rocking chair in there and clean off the daybed (which is more like a storage space right now). Her pack & play is assembled, stocked with supplies, and waiting in our room for her arrival. Our stroller is built and waiting, and we need to install the car seat. We actually seem to be somewhat ready!

Last weekend, we had a couples shower with some of our friends. Here are some pictures from that day.
