26 Weeks!

Only 14 weeks left...

Emma Grace has begun training her little lungs to take their first breath in a few months by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid.  She weighs close to 2 pounds now, and is as long as an English cucumber, which explains why I often feel her kick my hips and belly button simultaneously. Big exciting development for this week: she can now open her little eyes! Too bad she only gets to see my insides for the next few months.

That's about all the developmental updates for this week. Now for the fun stuff: picture updates!  Here is Emma Grace's latest photo shoot:

I didn't drink a Coke before this ultrasound, and I think she was much more calm (although still active). She's a cutie, even on a sonogram.

And here are some pictures of the beginnings of her nursery:

We hope to paint Emma Grace's room next weekend, and then the real fun begins! I'll start arranging and organizing and consignment shopping - woo hoo!  If you hear of any good sales, let me know.
