Summer Days Slippin' Away

It got very patriotic at the Tucker house in the month of July.

Check out our new addition - a flag!
We had a little 4th of July celebration with friends, which ended with watching fireworks.

My patriotic child

Scary at first, but still appreciated

Oh, and our awesome friends helped us put together our kitchen table:

We immediately put it to good use.

We also celebrated the 4th with family and friends at a traditional Tucker cookout.

The next week, Jacob headed to Kids Camp to be a counselor. We went out to visit one day and I think Emma Grace was ready to stay.

The next week, I left for a 5-day mission trip to Tullahoma, TN, with our student ministry. It was a really great week of ministry to a people that are so hungry for hope and truth. I hope to go back soon!

Although the trip was great, I am very glad to be home with my family and done with traveling for awhile. I think Emma Grace is glad, too. She's been very mommy-centered lately (which I am totally enjoying).

Emma Grace had her 15-month appointment in July. She was 26 lbs. and 33 inches - tall! She's on track to be 3 feet tall by her 2nd birthday. Wow. We can tell she's getting taller because she's now able to climb onto some things that were previously out of her reach.

She can't climb out yet, but that doesn't stop her.
That's about it for our month of July. Until next time, I leave you with this darling image:
